About Satori Son
Back in 1982 Satori Son was born, he grow up north of Toronto. His parents were both artistic. His father was an artist/musician who played blues harmonica in a couple of blues bands. From a young age Satori picked up on the music around him. He was into artists such as Rage Against The Machine, A Tribe Called Quest, Krs-One, DJ Premier and Pete Rock.
At the age of 15 he started designing and 3 years later Satori started producing Hip-Hop beats. Satori’s first beats were inspired by Canadian Hip-Hop legend the Rascalz. Around the same time he started working on his lyrical ability and recorded an underground mix-tape. With some good feedback from the mix-tape Satori decided to continue working on developing songs.
At 18 Satori was approached by more and more artist looking for designs for albums, websites and flyers.
The connection between the designs and the music industries inspired Satori to continue to design. At 19 he linked up with the CEO of Solid Apparel and begin developing concepts for the clothing company.
After many years of producing beats in a small studio environment Satori decide to team up with his brother, ‘Ascendica’ and build a new studio call Diverse Audio in Mississauga. ‘Ascendica’ was also a producer and a DJ that had been developing music and spinning records for many years. With a new studio and new equipment, it was time to start working on Satori Son’s new project Elements Within. The two worked on the project for a good solid year and produced over 9 songs.
Within the next year, Acendica called up his old friend Carl Sharp and discussed opening a larger studio in downtown Toronto. From this collaboration, Diverse Audio Recordings was born. With the new studio setup Satori Son completed the ‘Elements Within’ projected and finished the album with 15 songs.
Now in 2008 Satori Son is looking forward to releasing his new album ‘Elements Within’ under Diverse Audio Recordings on October 30th, 2008.
